About the “Federal States II” series

Hamburg was followed by the Königsstuhl on Rügen for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (2024), the Saar Loop (2025) and the Klimahaus in Bremerhaven (2026). Announced issues include Aachen Cathedral for North Rhine-Westphalia (2027), the Imperial Castle of Nuremberg for Bavaria (2028) and Birnau Basilica on Lake Constance for Baden-Württemberg (2029). Like the first series, this one is also intended to cover all 16 federal states and will therefore run until 2038.

Like all German commemorative coins, these too are issued by the five mints A, D, F, G and J, with around 30 million pieces per issue. The previous series can be found under Federal States.
