According to a collector, the denomination side of Belgium’s 2-euro commemorative coin BE037 has a standard proof finish, while the design side appears as a reverse proof. Another Belgian reverse-proof issue reportedly has the same configuration. This suggests that the 2026 issue was not the result of a production error, but it is not official confirmation.
