Germany to issue a €2 coin featuring Genscher in 2027
The Federal Ministry of Finance has announced a German €2 commemorative coin honouring Hans-Dietrich Genscher. The coin is due to be issued in March 2027 and is part of the “Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit” series. Its design features a portrait of the former Federal Foreign Minister; it will be struck with one of the German mint marks A, D, F, G or J.
Gulbenkian coins temporarily unavailable in the shop
The two Gulbenkian issues are listed online in the Portuguese shop. They now display “available soon” or, in Portuguese, “Temporariamente Indisponível”. This means availability is currently restricted again following the start of sales. The listings do not give a new official date for when they will become available again.
