Issue occasion
The text contains no information on the issue occasion or the design of the national side. It merely comprises corrections to administrative details.
Background on the topic
No specific historical, cultural or political connection can be inferred from the two corrigenda. The document numbers 2015/C 91/05 and 2015/C 91/06 merely designate the corrigenda and do not clearly identify the respective coin issues. The only corrections concern two previously stated issue years that were incorrect: the coins concerned were already issued in 2014 and not until 2015.
The months September and June likewise do not allow a reliable attribution. In a single year, several euro-area countries may issue new national sides or 2-euro commemorative coins. Without the original notice, key details such as the issuing country, inscription, person depicted, building, anniversary or event are therefore missing.
Accordingly, it is impossible to explain who may be depicted on the coin, nor can a building or historical occasion be identified. It also remains unclear whether it is a commemorative coin for an anniversary, a joint issue or a change to regular circulation coins at all. Under these circumstances, any justification for the choice of the occasion would be pure speculation.
For a factually substantiated classification, at least the original Official Journal text concerning the two “new national sides” would be required. The issuing country or a description of the coin design alone would generally be sufficient to identify the occasion and explain its background.
